Datadobi brings enterprise object replication to HPE customers

Discussions around object storage were top of the agenda for many at HPE Discover 2025, with one capability emerging as particularly vital: enterprise-class object replication. In response to growing demand from customers operating large-scale unstructured data environments, Datadobi is partnering with HPE to provide robust object replication functionality as part of its StorageMAP platform.

This development allows HPE object storage customers to gain immediate access to highly resilient, policy-driven replication across heterogeneous environments. Datadobi’s replication solution, built into StorageMAP’s Unstructured Data Mobility Engine, delivers powerful and flexible replication for S3-compatible object data. Whether customers are operating in multi-vendor, multi-site, or hybrid cloud configurations, StorageMAP enables replication data between any S3 platform with ease and confidence.

HPE + Datadobi: Modern replication for enterprise object storage

Together, HPE and Datadobi offer a seamless method for organizations to replicate critical object data into the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 system, enabling customers to address the challenge of moving data from in-family or third-party object storage platforms with confidence and control.

In the event of a disruption, StorageMAP supports rapid failover to the destination system, with the ability to fail back later by synchronizing only the incremental changes that occurred during the outage. Disaster recovery environments can also be fully isolated, thanks to pull-based replication that works even behind firewalls or in air-gapped configurations. StorageMAP gives users full control over replication behavior, supporting granular replication at the bucket or sub-bucket level and offering flexible scheduling, throttling, and bandwidth controls to minimize business disruption.

All replication activity is made transparent through intuitive dashboards, real-time progress monitoring, and detailed RPO reporting. Comprehensive verification capabilities help ensure data integrity is maintained throughout, with every object checked and logged into a chain of custody report and exportable reporting options.

StorageMAP is engineered to meet the scale and performance demands of modern unstructured data environments.
